Bacon Potato Creamy Soup

1 package of bacon

2 tbsp butter

1 onion diced

6 cloves of garlic

1/2 cup flour

4 cups of chicken stick

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups shredded cheddar

1/4 tsp to 1 tsp of Slap Ya Mama

8 potatoes peeled and cubed into 1 in pieces


  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven cook bacon over medium heat, shower be cut into small pieces.

  2. Once brown remove all but 2 tbsp of bacon fat

  3. Add butter, then add onion and garlic

  4. Onions showed be translucent before making roux.

  5. Add flour and whisk until flour is cooked.

  6. Add broth, cream and potatoes.

  7. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes

  8. Summer and then remove half of the soup. Part of it you will blend with either a immersion blender or regular blender. Then add back to the pot.

  9. Add in cheese and bacon. Summer for 15 minutes stirring occasionally.
