Hi! My name is Natalie and I live in the state of Iowa.  I am a teacher, mom, wife and animal mom.  I have 2 beautiful kids, both under the age of 6.  I teach special education to K-3 resource in a full inclusion state.  
I grew up as a grocers daughter and so I have always been surrounded by food.  I even won an produce contest for my dad when I was a baby. I always thought of going to culinary school, but the long night hours were not in my plan. 
I have no culinary education, but I do have my BFA in Art from University of Iowa and my M. Ed. In Early Childhood from UTEP. I also have my special education endorsement fromNorthwestern College. I love my job and teaching kids is my main calling. 
I spent the first 5 years of my marriage living the military life.  My husband is a Veteran that served the war of Afghanistan and Iraq.  After he got out of the military we moved back to our home state of Iowa where we met.  
I am so excited to share this journey with you.  I have turned this into something only in my wildest dreams.  I hope you love the recipes I post, and learn some new skills. I am always trying to learn new things in the kitchen, it’s my hobby.
